Birds and Bears at Wolfrun with Green Mountain Audubon Center

Location:
Wolfrun, Jericho, Vermont

Spend a full day with Steve Hagenbuch of Audubon Vermont and Sue Morse of Keeping Track at Wolfrun, Jericho, Vermont.  This class will feature opportunities to build your bird identification skills and learn how and where to look for evidence of black bear. The collaboration of Steve's and Sue's extensive knowledge of birds, black bear, and all the other species that occupy Wolfrun's diverse habitat, will give you the opportunity to understand and appreciate the fascinating relationships between wildlife and the habitat they share.

Each participant should bring a pack lunch, water or other beverage and be prepared for a moderate hike, on and off trails.  We strongly recommend a hiking stick for steep climbs and descents. If rain is predicted be sure to bring adequate rain gear. Sturdy, waterproof boots should be worn rather than sneakers or sandals.  You may want to bring bug repellant to protect yourselves from the expected high numbers of insects.
