From Butterflies to Birds to Bears with Susan Morse of Keeping Track

Location:
Dorset Village Library, Dorset, Vermont (to the left of the Town Center)

Join Vermont Woodlands Association/Woods, Wildlife and Warblers for a wildlife presentation at 8:00 a.m. followed by a field workshop.  You will learn about a variety of topics, including bear biology and ecology, as well as the positive outcome of various forest management practices as they stimulate more productive and diversified food and cover resources for the benefit of all wildlife, from butterflies and birds to bears.

Forest landowners, loggers and consulting foresters are encouraged to attend.  You can experience in the field a variety of wildlife detection and habitat assessment techniques, with an emphasis on discovering how bears feed and communicate within the forest community.

For more information please contact Kathleen Wanner at (802)747-7900 or kmwanner@comcast.net.  The slide presentation is free but pre-registration is required.  Attendance is limited to 25 people so don't delay.  Be sure to bring a bag lunch and dress appropriately for the weather.
