"Nuts about Mast" Slide Show at Shelburne Farms

Location:
Shelburne Farms, Shelburne, Vermont

There’s no question about it. Animals of all sorts are absolutely “Nuts About Mast” – the seeds, fruits and buds from a wide variety of trees and shrubs that serve wildlife as critical sources of food the whole year round. And on October 29, Shelburne Farms will celebrate Keeping Track’s 20 years of conservation education and success by presenting the premiere of Sue Morse's “Nuts About Mast.”

The evening will combine Sue’s spectacular slides with her personal accounts of watching wildlife hunt for and consume mast in natural communities across North America. You’ll come away with new understanding of the role that mast plays in sustaining healthy ecosystems, and what you can do to protect and promote vital mast sources near you. And you'll never look at an acorn or crabapple the same way again.

Space is limited, so be sure to register in advance at the Shelburne Farms website. Refreshments will be served. See you there!
