The International Society of Professional Trackers
The InterNational Society of Professional Trackers is a worldwide organization for the purpose of connecting all kinds of trackers. The benefits of connecting will be to share knowledge and interest in tracking and to further the use of tracking for deadly serious things like law enforcement and Search and Rescue to animal tracking for both serious trackers and those who are just interested."

A Naturalist’s World
A Naturalist’s World (ANW) is an ecologically oriented company dedicated to providing educational programs, books, slide shows and videos reflecting the natural history of North America. In addition to tracking, our programs cover bears, wolves,winter ecology, northern lights, alpine ecology and African ecosystems. ANW is owned by Jim Halfpenny, Ph.D. Jim and Diann Thompson, B.S.N., run the daily business, teach classes, and lead programs.

Shikari Tracking Guild
The Shikari Tracking Guild provides the best available mentoring resources for students on a serious path to become trackers in service to their communities. The resources provided by the Shikari Tracking Guild include Internships, Apprenticeships, Workshops, independent studies options (based on the Kamana Naturalist Training Program and the Shikari Tracker Training Program) and personal advising on a course of study to help developing trackers prepare for a life of professional service.

Wilderness Awareness School

ConserveWildlife.org
This site is sponsored by the Northeast Furbearers Resources Technical Committee encompassing 13 northeastern states and five eastern Canadian provinces. Its goal is to help people understand the importance of trapping and furbearer management.

Stowe Land Trust
Stowe Land Trust is working to ensure that these treasured landscapes endure. SLT has permanently protected 23 unique parcels encompassing more than 2500 acres in Stowe, Waterbury and Morristown.

Alderleaf Wilderness College

Your source for information and advice on all aspects of geographic information systems (GIS). GIS.com is a portal to GIS information on the Web and was created by ESRI, a GIS software developer. The site is intended to educate anyone interested in geographic technology on the value that technology brings to their day-to-day activities. The site also provides GIS users with resources to help them in their work.

Conservation Organizations

ACORN
ACORN is a prototype interactive website designed for landowners and other interested in forests in the West and Deerfield River Watersheds in Southern Vermont. This site is designed to meet the informational needs of both resident and non-resident private landowners in the area. Only half of the total woodland area is owned by Vermonters and only half of the woodland owners are vermonters. This means that reaching landowners about woodland related topics isn't as easy as just walking next door and talking or picking up the phone for a local call. ACORN aims to reach all landowners in these two watersheds whether they live on site, next door, or as far away as Germany!

The Nature Conservancy
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.

Vermont Forum on Sprawl
dedicated to informing the citizens of Vermont about the casues and effects of sprawl and developing solutions that confront sprawl.

Defenders of Wildlife
Defenders’ dedicated staff of wildlife professionals is aided by over 400,000 members and supporters who share the belief that humans have a responsibility to protect other living creatures and their habitats. Their financial help and active involvement ensures that Defenders will continue to be one of America's most effective champions for wildlife.

Eastern Cougar Foundation
Headquartered in North Springs, West Virginia, the Eastern Cougar Foundation has three goals : (1) To conduct investigations to document cougar presence in eastern North America, including development of regional networks of credible trackers to help investigate cougar reports. (2) To promote full legal protection of all cougars living wild in the East, regardless of origin. (3) To build tolerance through education.

National Wildlife Federation
The mission of the National Wildlife Federation is to educate, inspire and assist individuals and organizations of diverse cultures to conserve wildlife and other natural resources and to protect the Earth's environment in order to achieve a peaceful, equitable and sustainable future. National Wildlife Federation's main goal is to raise awareness and involve people of all ages in their fight to conserve and protect the environment.

North American Bear Center
The NABC's mission is to be a leader in providing understanding and appreciation of black bears, their role in the ecosystem and their relationship to humans. This will be accomplished through a facility that promotes and provides educational facilities, exhibits, multi-media presentations, and when prudent, live animals, particularly those needing clinical rehabilitation.
